Looks like the hangers let something get lodged behind the sheet and didn’t bother to clean it out first.

That is CRAP workmanship. It’s hard to believe someone thought that was OK.

Kind of wonder if this will make it all the way to closing. Home is pretty far along... carpet goes in maybe ten days.

Couldn’t they at least spread it out? Like, level it with plaster or something? That’s just crap.

How is that even possible?

Those aren’t normal walls, normal as in framed with 2x4s and covered dry walled?

I have to take some pictures of my house to show you what I did.

I raised my 1 story house 15 feet in the air, removed crawlspace and made a heated slab, put up new walls on the slab, then sat my old house on the new one. That was end of summer 2014. Since then had 2 kids, managed a merger at work(I work IT for an insurance company full time)

I’m almost finished my interior, I have my second bathroom to finish. I did everything myself, except jacking the house, and the plaster on the drywall.

My plan is to finish the interior by spring, then this summer, change to old windows, do the vinyl and I have the roofs to do. House and garage.

I gave myself 3 years to finish my house. So far so good.

I have never worked in construction, I work with computers.....

Additionally that baseboard is crap. Is that 2" x 5/8" or something? And the fact it’s floating high off the floor and not caulked top or bottom. And that tile grouting looks like shit. All these houses down here are also built like shit, but you get 1/4" groutlines, 7" baseboards, and 5" crown for $500k, amongst other amenities.

Burn to ground, start over.

But seriously, punch a hole in that and tell them to fix the hole in the wall that someone must have knocked a tool into. It happens.

Lots of times guys will drywall over anything to keep the job humming. I wonder what’s under that drywall to make bow out? Just bad framing would have not have made it bow out that much over a short span. Anyone missing a dog or a cat?

Lol. I used to do small scale demo (malls and stuff). You’d be amazed at what we’d see. Sprinkers and stuff not even long enough to go through the drop ceiling. So what happens if there’s a fire? The sprinkler goes off, fills the drop ceiling with water which then collapses onto whatever is below.....

and somehow this passed inspection. Yikes. I suspect it’s inspectors most to blame. They just let any old crap go, at least back when I was in the biz.

jfc.....

See THIS is why when I buy a house some day; I won't. I'll bring my own construction crew in, and build a house how it should be built; with bricks and mortar, a large generator and an absolutely enormous garage.

Nice. Thanks to the new west partnership between BC, AB and SK any inspection in the three provinces is good for 90 days in the others, so I’m just gonna get my ticket (and new wheel bearing) done up here in BC then register in Ab in about two months.

real albertians drive pick-up trucks don’t they.

Last 2 days I was in La Sarre, city about 100kms away from here and every other car was a HD pickup.

Most of them seemed to be driven by guys with douchebag glasses.
